either here in Australia or in the US. What’s the difference?

Data Hosted in Australia

• We use Global Switch Data Centre in Sydney to house your data. Therefore all data remains in Sydney, this might be important to some customers with privacy concerns or who need to adhere to corporate or government policy.
• The servers are monitored 24\7 and offer a 99.9% SLA.
• We can offer a ‘seed’ backup facility to allow your first initial full backup to be manually loaded by USB drive to our data centre servers. This is recommended for any backup over 20GB.
• We offer a full service of payment plans; invoice, credit card, monthly, quarterly or annually.
• Our fees are slightly more for this premium service to cover the cost of local infrastructure and data transfer (about 20 times the cost compared to the US!)

Data Hosted in United States

• We are using Amazon Web Services for ‘Cloud Storage’. Basically, it is a network of virtual computers and storage devices spread across large areas and continents.
• Data stored comes under US jusrisdiction.
• Due to the location and scale of this network, we can offer significant reductions in our fees.
• Seed backups are not available.
• Payment annually by credit card only.
